Center for Fairness, Justice, and Equity in the College of Education

Tennessee Teach Back Initiative

The MTSU Tennessee Teach Back Initiative (TTBI) is a teacher preparation initiative developed by the College of Education that works with partnering school districts in Tennessee to help diverse and committed students as they work through their teacher education program. TTBI guarantees a teaching job or employment upon graduation in the partnering school district, in turn, helping to address the statewide and regional teacher shortage we are experiencing. It will promote the career of teaching as an opportunity to make a positive impact in our communities. The TTBI’s efforts will positiviely add to the economic health and vitality of the state.
